Your refund is stuck. Our AI agent files and chases it on WhatsApp.

Failed UPI or card debits, cancelled flights, online order refunds. Send a screenshot, and Haqdaar works out which rule applies, files the complaint with your written authorisation, and follows up. Nothing upfront. You can always file yourself for free.

What is Haqdaar?

Haqdaar is an AI agent that files and chases your stuck refunds on WhatsApp. You share a screenshot of the failed payment, cancelled flight or pending order refund. It checks which RBI, DGCA or consumer rule applies, drafts the complaint, files it once you authorise it in writing, and follows up and escalates where the rules allow.

How does it work?

You chat with Haqdaar on WhatsApp. It reads your screenshot, tells you the rule and the deadline, explains the fee and that filing yourself is free, takes your written authorisation, then files and follows up. You see every message it sends on your behalf, and you can stop at any time.

  1. Send a screenshot of the debit, booking or order.
  2. Get the rule that applies, the deadline the company had, and any compensation that may be owed.
  3. Authorise in chat. You reply YES to a written authorisation before anything is filed. You can withdraw it at any time.
  4. We file and chase. Complaint to the bank, airline or platform, then escalation (e.g. AirSewa, National Consumer Helpline, RBI Ombudsman) if it isn't resolved. Updates come to you on WhatsApp.

What refunds does Haqdaar cover?

Haqdaar covers three kinds of stuck money in India: failed UPI, IMPS, card and ATM debits where money left your account but the transaction failed; airline ticket refunds after a cancellation; and e-commerce refunds for cancelled or returned orders. If your case is outside these, it will tell you so rather than take it on.

  • Failed digital payments: UPI, IMPS, card, ATM, wallet. RBI's 2019 turnaround-time rules set reversal deadlines and fixed compensation (₹100/day for many failure types) once they're missed.
  • Airline refunds: DGCA's refund rules (revised CAR, in force 26 Mar 2026): card refunds within 7 days, agent/portal bookings within 14 working days, no refund-processing fee.
  • E-commerce refunds: Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020: every platform must have a grievance officer who resolves complaints within one month.

Do I need Haqdaar to file a complaint?

No. Filing a complaint is free, and you can do it yourself. You can write to the company, bank or airline directly, and the RBI Ombudsman, AirSewa and the National Consumer Helpline don't charge anything. Haqdaar charges only for doing the work and chasing it for you, and only if money is recovered.

What does it cost?

Nothing upfront. If money is recovered, the fee is 15% of whatever is recovered, meaning the refund plus any compensation, capped at ₹5,000 per case. If 15% would come to under ₹20, there's no fee. If your refund is won at the RBI Ombudsman stage, there's no fee. The fee is all-inclusive, with nothing added on top.

  • If you cancel before we've filed, there's no fee. If we've already filed and the refund arrives within 60 days of cancelling, the fee still applies.
  • The fee is paid by UPI within 7 days of you confirming the money has arrived. No interest or penalties.

Examples: ₹2,000 recovered → ₹300 fee. ₹50,000 recovered → ₹5,000 (the cap). ₹100 recovered → no fee (15% is under ₹20). Won at the RBI Ombudsman → no fee.

Is my data safe?

Haqdaar uses your details only to file and follow up on your complaint, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We ask for consent before collecting anything. To erase it at any time, reply with exactly: delete my data (as the whole message; "erase my data" or "forget me" also work). Screenshots and messages are processed by Google Gemini, whose terms may allow Google to use them to improve its services; Haqdaar itself doesn't use your data to train AI. We never ask for your UPI PIN, OTP, card CVV or passwords.

Frequently asked questions

Money was debited but my UPI payment failed. When should it come back?

RBI's turnaround-time rules set the deadline by type: for a UPI transfer to a person, by T+1 (the day after the transaction; RBI counts calendar days); for a merchant payment, within T+5 calendar days. After that, the bank owes ₹100 per day of delay, automatically.

The bank says "it will auto-reverse." Should I just wait?

You can, but note the date. If the RBI deadline passes, complain to the bank in writing with the UTR/transaction ID and ask for the reversal and the compensation.

I was charged twice for one booking. What do I do?

Get both transaction IDs. Complain to whoever took the money (the merchant/portal for a successful double charge, your bank for a failed debit) in writing. Where it's a failed debit, RBI timelines apply.

My bank hasn't fixed it after a complaint. Can I go higher?

Yes. If the bank rejects it or doesn't reply within 30 days, you can complain to the RBI Ombudsman free at cms.rbi.org.in, within 90 days of that 30-day period ending or the bank's last reply, whichever is later (RB-IOS 2026, in force 1 Jul 2026).

ATM didn't give cash but my account was debited.

RBI's rules require reversal within T+5 days of the transaction, then ₹100 per day of delay. Complain to your own bank, even if it was another bank's ATM.

Can the airline charge me a fee to process my refund?

No. DGCA's refund CAR (in force 26 Mar 2026) says airlines can't levy any additional charge to process a refund, and must refund statutory taxes and airport fees (UDF/ADF/PSF) on cancellation, non-use or no-show.

How long can an airline take to refund?

DGCA's revised rules (in force 26 Mar 2026): card payments within 7 days, cash immediately, agent or portal bookings within 14 working days.

I booked through a travel portal and they keep blaming the airline.

DGCA's rules put the refund obligation on the airline, because agents are its appointed representatives. Complain to both, then use AirSewa.

I cancelled within 48 hours of booking. Do I pay a fee?

If you booked on the airline's website and the flight is more than 7 days (domestic) or 15 days (international) away, the 48-hour "look-in" option lets you cancel without extra charges.

My order was cancelled by the seller weeks ago and there's no refund.

Write to the platform's grievance officer with the order ID. The E-Commerce Rules require acknowledgement within 48 hours and resolution within one month. Then the National Consumer Helpline (1915).

Customer care keeps saying "wait 7–10 days" again and again.

Ask for a written ticket number and escalate to the grievance officer listed on the platform's website. Repeated chat resets don't count as a resolution.

Where do I find a company's grievance or nodal officer?

Banks list them on their websites; airlines list a nodal officer; e-commerce platforms must display the grievance officer's name and contact.

Can I go to consumer court?

Yes, through e-Jagriti (the consumer commission filing portal). For many refund cases, a written complaint and the National Consumer Helpline come first.

Is Haqdaar a lawyer or law firm?

No. Haqdaar is not a law firm, has no advocates, and doesn't give legal advice. It files and follows up on consumer complaints as your authorised representative, with your written authorisation.

Does Haqdaar guarantee I'll get my money?

No. Nobody can guarantee what a bank, airline or platform will decide. Haqdaar files, follows up and escalates, and charges only if money is recovered.

What do I need to send?

A screenshot of the debit, booking or order, plus any complaint number you already have. Never your UPI PIN, OTP, CVV or passwords.

Can I stop or take back my authorisation?

Yes, at any time. Just tell us in the chat. To erase your data, reply with exactly: **delete my data** (as the whole message; "erase my data" or "forget me" also work).

Why would I pay when filing is free?

You don't have to. Some people would rather not spend time drafting, citing rules and chasing. If you'd rather do it yourself, we'll tell you where to file.
